Who Was William Klein?
William Klein was a photographer by profession and popular for street scenes. One of his early mentors of William named artist Fernand Leger informed him, “Instead of spending time in galleries. Spent your time watching at buildings and go out onto the street.” He was highly inspired by the words of the artist and did exactly what he said but in his own style. Due to his passion for photography and great learning he went on to become one of the most influential photographers of all time, channelling the kineticism of cities such as Moscow, New York, Tokyo and Paris in his work.

The artist passed away at the age of 96 and took his last breath in Paris. His death news is officially confirmed by his son named Pierre Klein. His passing came at the time of the last few days of a major retrospective show which was held in New York at the International Center of Photography which was planned to close Monday. He was born in 1926 in New York. He completed his education at the City College which is located in New York prior to becoming part of the army in the year 1946. He triumphed in his 1st camera in a poker match while established in the country German.

After 2 years, he shifted to Paris and completed his studies in abstract sculpture and painting at the Sorbonne. The 1st photography book of the late photographer titled “Life is Good and Good for You, was published in the year 1956 and after that, he published many books based on his photography. Whilst he was chiefly popular as a photographer, Klein also created many movies such as “Muhammad Ali’s The Greatest” in the year 1969. Some of his works of Klein are in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the J Paul Getty Museum located in Los Angeles, and the Centre Pompidou located in Paris. The cause of his death is not known yet.
